Jyoti Adya

Founder & Chairperson

Jyoti Adya is a veteran in the field of social service. She has an MA in History and has worked for the upliftment of young girls for the last several years. She is also a Founder at the Lajja Foundation which aims at the upliftment of women and works with women who have faced abuse.

Being a physical and spiritual fitness enthusiast, she aims to now branch into mental health and help people deal with mental illness.

Anoushka Adya

Co-Founder & Co-Chairperson

A Feminist, an Entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker, a marketeer, a Social Entrepreneur and a believer in the indispensability of hard work. After having graduated from the Warwick Business School with Honours in Marketing & Strategy, she decided to stay on in the UK (London and Glasgow) to get quality exposure to world-class companies and working environs. Then she packed her bags and got back to home ground where she researched, planned and finally launched her own digital ad firm called Di-mentions. Today, Di-Mentions is an award winning digital marketing agency based in Mumbai and Delhi. Anoushka Adya is a marketing professional with over 10 years of work experience in the field. She is also a known entrepreneur with two successful start-up businesses – Lajja Diaries, a platform for women to voice their experience with abuse and Di-Mentions Studio, a digital marketing agency. Anoushka did her graduation from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai and went to the UK to do her Masters from Warwick Business School at a very young age of 20. She is driven to contribute greatly to the business world as well as to the social treatment of women. Apart from the above, she has also been a Guest Speaker at IIT Mumbai and IIM Rohtak, and has won several awards including Top 30 Under 30, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Rising Star of the Year to name a few.

Preet Sonpal

Founding Team - COO

Entrepreneur, Guitarist and a huge travel buff. Preet brings his specific set of skills in Technology & Operations to the table.

Working since he was 17, he has worked in all sorts of odd jobs and playing in clubs and pubs to put himself through college. His first real job was as a Finance Executive at an HR Company quickly rising to being a Business Analyst. Realising his dream to become an Entrepreneur, he quit his job to work on his own Travel Company and becoming a self taught Developer and Web Designer.

While he quit the travel domain, his Tech company has built over 40+ websites and projects in less than 18 months.

He has been very vocal about the importance of Mental Health and he jumped at this opportunity of being a part of Grow. His belief is in working holistically with people and understanding what inspires and motivates them.

ketaki vengsarkar

Ketaki is a final year student of Masters in counselling psychology at St. Xaviers College, Mumbai. Over the past year, she has been a counsellor at a BMC school, where she has worked with clients in both individual and group settings. Additionally, She has also worked as a Research Assistant with Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation, where she explored the use of supaari and tobacco products among adolescents. 

Being a physical and spiritual fitness enthusiast, she aims to now branch into mental health and help people deal with mental illness.

Unnati Chawda

Unnati is a psychologist. She  has pursued Neuropsychology from Gujarat Forensic Sciences University and possess ample of experience in counseling, psychometric testing and cognitive rehabilitation.

She believes in holistic well-being and with a heart full of compassion, She’s here to contribute and bring out the best.

Deborah Charles

An aspiring psychologist, Deborah Charles has been intertwined in the study of the human mind and behaviour since 2014 resulting in a high school degree, an undergraduate degree and a current pursuit of a postgraduate degree in the field of psychology. This is testament to her dedication to and perseverance for a field that will only keep growing.

She believes in the nuances of a field that is more versatile and ever growing. Her emphasis is on the extensive need for mental health, especially in a country like India, where mental health is only just entering the spotlight. She hopes that in the near future, mental health and wellness would be advocated just as much as physical health and wellness.

She has participated in international exchange programs like the Harvard College in Asia program for Redefining Leadership and the Partnership 2020 on Health and Innovation. She has a BA in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and is currently in the second year of an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore. Her interests in the field are many, but she nurtures a soft spot for social psychology research and application.

Shreya Makhija

A passionate learner, currently under training, pursuing an M.A in Applied Psychology (Specialization in Clinical and Counseling Practice) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Having completed her undergraduate from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai; she has attended various workshops trying to explore psychology as a subject from different lenses.
She aspires to make a difference in the profession of Mental health, collaborating with people to be better versions of themselves. She enjoys writing, dancing and painting and looks for opportunities to use her creativity as part of her work.’

Jessica Gohil

Jessica has completed her undergraduate degree with an honors from San Francisco State University and has been actively working in the field of mental health ever since. She is an internationally certified NLP Practitioner. Jessica is passionate about research and is currently working on the not-so-known category of “Twice Exceptional (2E) Children ”.

Aafreen Khan

Graduated with a degree in Psychology and English Literature from St. Xavier’s Autonomous College, Mumbai, I have a keen interest in abnormal psychology and dealing with mental illnesses like depression and anxiety.  I have worked as a  client counselor in the past for an educational firm. Currently, I work as social media, public relations and community manager at Kapiva (disruptive healthcare startup focused on bringing selectively sourced natural products to Indian consumers.)
A voracious reader, I thrive well in an environment that offers a scope to learn and grow. I believe that the key to success for any form of therapy stands on two strong pillars: empathy and active listening.
